Measuring 27 weeks!!!

So, our little girl is actually measuring 27 weeks. Not a huge deal at all but for anyone who cares, it would put her due date at March 27. I am just happy that she is doing so well! ON a side note (more for my own information) I noticed on the chart that the due date HAS been changed to March 29th since our big ultrasound... so she is really growing at a good rate.

She about kicked her way out this morning... oh my goodness... its about 5:55 am and she is just going nutso's! I didn't even mind missing that extra few minutes of sleep before I had to get up... but it sure did make me wonder what the heck she was doing in there.

And I had my Gluclose test too... (shout out to Kellie - the orange was the way to go... I may have enjoyed it!). I totally almost fell asleep in the office after tho... SOOO tired from the sugar.
So in closing, I make a batch of Sugar cookies with homemade frosting with my NEW Kitchen Aid Mixer (thanks mom, LOVE it!!)... I figure if I DO have Gestiational Diabetes, I might as well have sugar now.

Belly shot - 25 weeks

As you can see from the pics, we are ready for our little girl to get here! Yesterday morning, the carpet guy came and was AWESOME, the room looked amazing. Then we moved all the furnature in and set up the crib. I knew that some of the stuff was coming the in mail today but I was not expecting the bedding to come. but lo and behold, it all came! I was soooo happy!!!! it looks so cute all set up, and we totally picked all the right things for our girl.

And she LOVES Chrismas already!! She was up early kicking me like she hasn't kicked in weeks. I woke up Brad and told him that his little girl wanted to wish him a Merry Christmas, and she did!!

So excited!

Well, for starters, Our girl had the cutest set of hiccups again today, and I actually felt them! SOOO cool!

And we just came back from getting all our nursery things! Yay! Yes, we did change our mind on the bedding, but once we found the one above, we could not resist! How could I deprive my girl of pink... and with brown walls this bedding just fit so well! And the dresser is not exactly what we bought, but its close. And yes, the woods will match, unlike the pics :)

Labor and Delivery

As some may know – I was sent down to labor and delivery on Tuesday afternoon. I had about 5 braxton hicks in about 45 minutes. They monitored both contractions and the baby and everything turned out fine. They are not sure what caused the Braxton hicks, maybe dehydration or just the fact that she moves around all the time may make my uterus tighten up a lot… Not sure, but Brad and I are very thankful that our little girl has stayed put!

Side note, she had the cutest set of hiccups while on the monitor and made quite a game out of trying to kick the two monitors off my tummy and then having her heartrate go way up after realizing that she was not going to be able to kick them off. Once again I heard the wonderful news from the doctor that "we have a very active baby" :)

"Sleep like a baby"

I read that our lil princess should "sleep like a baby at this stage - around 12-14 hours a day" Right. Not my girl... she maybe took a 20 minute nap at work today. She was doing so many flops it was crazy. At one point I was just watching my belly go all over and I SAW a something protude - her head I think, but I did not feel it. Sooo crazy.

And, this past weekened we had our final weekend for Festival Of Lights (yay- i am sooo tired). On friday my mom and I were resting in a office and our lil girl got to moving around. So my mom put her hand on my belly and lo and behold about 2 minutes later, baby made herself known. I watched my mom's face light up - I loved it! She got in about 2 more good kicks and then decided to rest (or something!).

My girlie is such a blessing I love her already.

And she has a room - almost. We are all done painting the trim, and the carpet guys are *h0pefully* coming on thursday. The walls are a darker brown with white trim. And I am HOPING as well that we can by her crib/matress/changing table and goodies this weekend too... I cannot wait!

Active Baby?

We were told by our ultrasound techs that we have a very active baby. Well, turns out they are right. I did kick counts the other day at work, and a "norm" is to have 10 in 1 hour. Well, I counted 10.... in SIX minutes. I love it. And my daughter loves to enterain me during meetings at work... all she did at the last one was kick my side and move my belly move all over the place.

And Cubby totally knows that something is going on. The other night he would just rest his head on my belly almost waiting for a kick... and now when I come home he loves to lick me belly... too cute

Cutie Pie

Well, we had our followup ultrasound this mornming and its crazy how much she has changed in a meer 5 weeks... She is bigger and has a little more chub on her! The tech was able to get the shot of the heart she wanted and said that our little girl looks perfect. I had her double check that she is a girl, and yes, she is still a girl. We got some more good profile shots of her, and a good 3d shot of her precious little face that even shows her little cheeks! Of course her little hands were blocking her eyes, but that just seems to be how she is. We saw her swallowing and opening her mouth... She is the most precious thing I have ever seen.

And the 32 ounces of OJ i had to drink this morning has made her move a gazillion times already this morning... I love feeling her move...
