Measuring 27 weeks!!!

So, our little girl is actually measuring 27 weeks. Not a huge deal at all but for anyone who cares, it would put her due date at March 27. I am just happy that she is doing so well! ON a side note (more for my own information) I noticed on the chart that the due date HAS been changed to March 29th since our big ultrasound... so she is really growing at a good rate.

She about kicked her way out this morning... oh my goodness... its about 5:55 am and she is just going nutso's! I didn't even mind missing that extra few minutes of sleep before I had to get up... but it sure did make me wonder what the heck she was doing in there.

And I had my Gluclose test too... (shout out to Kellie - the orange was the way to go... I may have enjoyed it!). I totally almost fell asleep in the office after tho... SOOO tired from the sugar.
So in closing, I make a batch of Sugar cookies with homemade frosting with my NEW Kitchen Aid Mixer (thanks mom, LOVE it!!)... I figure if I DO have Gestiational Diabetes, I might as well have sugar now.

Belly shot - 25 weeks

As you can see from the pics, we are ready for our little girl to get here! Yesterday morning, the carpet guy came and was AWESOME, the room looked amazing. Then we moved all the furnature in and set up the crib. I knew that some of the stuff was coming the in mail today but I was not expecting the bedding to come. but lo and behold, it all came! I was soooo happy!!!! it looks so cute all set up, and we totally picked all the right things for our girl.

And she LOVES Chrismas already!! She was up early kicking me like she hasn't kicked in weeks. I woke up Brad and told him that his little girl wanted to wish him a Merry Christmas, and she did!!

So excited!

Well, for starters, Our girl had the cutest set of hiccups again today, and I actually felt them! SOOO cool!

And we just came back from getting all our nursery things! Yay! Yes, we did change our mind on the bedding, but once we found the one above, we could not resist! How could I deprive my girl of pink... and with brown walls this bedding just fit so well! And the dresser is not exactly what we bought, but its close. And yes, the woods will match, unlike the pics :)

Labor and Delivery

As some may know – I was sent down to labor and delivery on Tuesday afternoon. I had about 5 braxton hicks in about 45 minutes. They monitored both contractions and the baby and everything turned out fine. They are not sure what caused the Braxton hicks, maybe dehydration or just the fact that she moves around all the time may make my uterus tighten up a lot… Not sure, but Brad and I are very thankful that our little girl has stayed put!

Side note, she had the cutest set of hiccups while on the monitor and made quite a game out of trying to kick the two monitors off my tummy and then having her heartrate go way up after realizing that she was not going to be able to kick them off. Once again I heard the wonderful news from the doctor that "we have a very active baby" :)

"Sleep like a baby"

I read that our lil princess should "sleep like a baby at this stage - around 12-14 hours a day" Right. Not my girl... she maybe took a 20 minute nap at work today. She was doing so many flops it was crazy. At one point I was just watching my belly go all over and I SAW a something protude - her head I think, but I did not feel it. Sooo crazy.

And, this past weekened we had our final weekend for Festival Of Lights (yay- i am sooo tired). On friday my mom and I were resting in a office and our lil girl got to moving around. So my mom put her hand on my belly and lo and behold about 2 minutes later, baby made herself known. I watched my mom's face light up - I loved it! She got in about 2 more good kicks and then decided to rest (or something!).

My girlie is such a blessing I love her already.

And she has a room - almost. We are all done painting the trim, and the carpet guys are *h0pefully* coming on thursday. The walls are a darker brown with white trim. And I am HOPING as well that we can by her crib/matress/changing table and goodies this weekend too... I cannot wait!

Active Baby?

We were told by our ultrasound techs that we have a very active baby. Well, turns out they are right. I did kick counts the other day at work, and a "norm" is to have 10 in 1 hour. Well, I counted 10.... in SIX minutes. I love it. And my daughter loves to enterain me during meetings at work... all she did at the last one was kick my side and move my belly move all over the place.

And Cubby totally knows that something is going on. The other night he would just rest his head on my belly almost waiting for a kick... and now when I come home he loves to lick me belly... too cute

Hmmm

I feel sick... almost like a return of morning sickness... icky. Oh well...

On a cuter note, baby girl had the cutest set of hiccups yesterday at work... right by my rib cage...

Cutie Pie

Well, we had our followup ultrasound this mornming and its crazy how much she has changed in a meer 5 weeks... She is bigger and has a little more chub on her! The tech was able to get the shot of the heart she wanted and said that our little girl looks perfect. I had her double check that she is a girl, and yes, she is still a girl. We got some more good profile shots of her, and a good 3d shot of her precious little face that even shows her little cheeks! Of course her little hands were blocking her eyes, but that just seems to be how she is. We saw her swallowing and opening her mouth... She is the most precious thing I have ever seen.

And the 32 ounces of OJ i had to drink this morning has made her move a gazillion times already this morning... I love feeling her move...

Well...

We had our 22 week appointment on Tuesday. My mom came with me since I didn't like Brad needed to come to the super quick appointment. I had to see a different doctor other then my reg OB and we heard the heardbeat which was in the 140's and he measured me and I guess that all looked good... I really didn't like him all that much... but oh well. He did say that from the U/S he would date our little girl to be born on March 29th... she's just a tad ahead schedule.

I got a call from the OB office today and they said that from my Ultrasound on the 31st that they did not get a clear shot of something coming off her heart... so they want me to come back in on Monday morning to get a followup. It will be fun to see how much she has grown, but I just pray that everthing is normal too... Now I know why I only wanted one ultrasound... any more then that I start to worry!!!

Lil Kicker

So ___ kicked me for an hour straight last night. I LOVED it. I actually put off going to bed cause we were having to much fun. Wherever I put my hand she would kick... so darn cute! And my mom felt a kick today... how exciting!

I am posted my "thanksgiving day shot - almost 22 weeks" Looks like I swallowed a basketball, but no, its my daughter... oh well, it will only get worse... (but how?!?!)

Active lil girl!

She has been moving so much this week. I've narrowed it down that I first felt flutters around 14.5 weeks... and felt kicks around 18 weeks... and now, I feel her all the time. I love it! Although when I don't feel anything (and I have to remind myself - that means she is SLEEPING) I get a little paranoid. The other night I drank a coke at 9pm, just to feel one movement. Lol - and I felt it.

She also played hide and go seek with daddy the other night. She was kicking my hand, but then i would bring Brads over and she would stop... so i would put my hand back and she would start kicking again, so I would bring brads hand over again, and sure enouht she stopped. How cute.

And I am SOOO thankful for all my nieces (and wonderful sister-in-laws). This lil girl will be the cutest dressed baby on the block - they are bringing over a tub of 0-3 month clothes! YIPPEE!

Anyway... also posted is my 19.5 week belly shot... getting a bit bigger...

Its a GIRL!

Our sweet little baby girl is on her way!! There is no denying it, she gave us the money shot right away. I actually saw it before the tech did. She is measuring 3 days ahead and at 8oz. She has all her parts, and organs. She is also a very active little thing and was moving the whole time. Seems she always has to have a hand by her face. We do have a name for her, but its a secret. Its been really nice calling her by her name...

And, Brad felt her kick last night!!! We were watching TV and I had my hand on my belly and she was kicking away and I felt a few on the outside... so i took his hand and put it on my belly and sure enough, after a minute she kicked in the right spot and he looked at me and goes "I felt that" and I got to tell him that was his daughter. SOOO nice!!!!

Praise the LORD for a healthy baby GIRL!

Almost there!

So excited! Tomorrow is the big ultrasound! I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight.

The baby has been moving around alot too. Seems we have a very active baby in there. I can usually tell when the baby is having their active time, and its usually in the morning and then he/she seems to rest and then is back at it when I eat lunch. Well, yesterday was SOOO hectic at work that the baby kicked me non stop for about 6 hours. I felt so bad, but I was so darn busy I could not relax.

I have also included my 18 week belly shot, and also a cute pic of Lena.

my shadow is pregnant!

Yes it is! And its kinda freaky :). People are starting to notice my bump... all the girls at work have been saying how I have a bump all of a sudden... and when I took Lena to the vet tonight even the vet noticed! Its so cool! I've been feeling the little squirmer for about a week now, and its simply wonderful. We have our BIG ltrasound in two weeks! I cannot wait!

Finally!

I found our girlbedding online! YAY... So the boys bedding I posted a while ago, and this is what I would love for a girl.
Anyway... pregnancy is going well. But I am CONVINCED that the baby does not like Tuesdays. Why? Cause for the past month, while I have been at work, on a Tuesday, I have gotten ill, if you know what I mean. Not fun! But I love the little bean, so its all good. All in all, I am feeling much better, besides headaches and feeling lightheaded... but I seem to have more energy, so that is nice...

Squirmy Worm

We had our lastest appoing yesterday... it went really good! We got to hear the heartbeat again, and our little squirmy worm was kicking and splashing around! We would hear the heartbeat, and then a strange noise, which was a kick! It was amazing! And I think I am feeling movement! Today at work I kept feeling little drumbeats. I swear it was the baby. I am also post my "Mid 14 week belly shot" Enjoy!

My life - and the lack of buttons and zippers in it.

Well... my life is almost completly void of pre-pregnancy pants. None of them will button anymore. And thanks to my wonderful sister-in-laws advice, of using a hair tie to make them fit a little bit longer, I was able to get a few more weeks out of them. But alas... the one pair of jeans I was relying on, failed me on Saturday. I am now wearing "stretchy pants" but not for fun (inside joke). I honestly can't wear anything else! But to be honest, they are so comfy!

And here is a pic of my "1 day short of being 13 weeks" belly shot. I had a lady at church say that my belly is starting to show, and that its not "is she fat, or is she prego" its def a pregnant belly! My mom said the same thing, and the neighbor lady commented on how cute my belly is! Yay! I am so excited!

Over 12 weeks!

YAY! I am so thankful to be past the 12 week mark! Earlier this week I *thought* my morning sickness had left me. I could have never been so wrong. I got sick this morning, then got sick an hour I after I got to work... and then again after lunch. Needless to say, I went home a few hours early. And now I feel better, very hungry, but better. I will be honest, I was happy to see it return. I know, I am crazy, but I love every single pregnancy symptom. I have had over 6 weeks of morning sickness now, and I have been thankful every day!
We go back to the doc in a two weeks... I can't wait! I love how they listen for the heartbeat everytime after the 10-12 week appointment... I can't wait to hear that wonderful sound again!

Good Thoughts

The other day I had a thought about how big the heartbeat really is. I mean, Lord willing, that little heart in there will beat, non stop, for the next 80 or so years. That is so amazing to me!
Good news as well, I think my morning sickness is about gone... the past few days I have been feeling a little bit better...
But... I have had to sing "Another One Bites the Dust" to about 5 pairs of pants already... kinda sad!

We have a HEARTBEAT!

Oh my goodness! For various reasons I was very worried about this appointment that we had today. I had fears that the heartbeat would not be found and all that, even tho everything has been textbook with this pregnancy (as far as I can tell from what I have read). The doctor thought it might be a bit early to hear the heart on the Doppler, but as soon as she put the thingy to my stomach, there it was! *woosh woosh woosh* It was the sweetest sound ever! Our baby has a strong heartbeat of 155! And everything else looks normal for where I should be at. She did say that I should not worry about what I eat at all, cause I am on the low end of weight, and that I should plan on gaining 25-35 pounds... which would put me around 150 when all is said and done. I just praise the LORD that everything was good today! And that we heard the heart... it was amazing...

Maybe I was wrong...

My morning sickness is not gone, and still does involve me getting sick in the morning. But it is a reminder that everything is progressing. So I am thankful for that.

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

Over NINE weeks?!

Wow. I cannot believe we are over 9 weeks along! It has gone by really fast! Next week wednesday we hear the heartbeat, which will be so exciting! I can't wait!!
And my morning sickness no long involves umm... dry heaving... which is SO nice! I find if I relax that I can get thru the morning just feeling sick to my stomach. Although, I have had to pee about every hour on the hour... oh well. All is well!

I feel so blessed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqfGqOx2iDQ

I watched this video today... and I made me cry... I feel so blessed by God that Brad and I got pregnant as fast as we did. But this is a reminder that its not always so easy. My prayers go out to all the couples who struggle with infertility.

It hits me at all times of the day, what an awesome responsibility God has given Brad and I in this baby. The thought of having a baby in my arms in a meer 7.5 months(actually less!) is amazing to me. I just keep praying that our little pea keeps on growing strong.

Emotions

So... on Sunday I actually got sick sick if you know what I mean. It was horrible... but I actually felt better after. I also got Sea-Bands which I guess help with morning sickness, and really since I got them I have started feeling better... Still sick, just not as nausous.

But my emotions! Holy cow! Last night Brad and I were watching Animal Planets "Miami Animal Police" where they show animals that have been abused. Well, there was this adorable dog Pappy, who had heartworms, and long story short, by the end of the show I was SOBBING. I mean, tears and everything. I was just so happy that he had gotten better and adopted into a loving family. It was crazy... I was just laying there - crying. Crazy emotions.

But anyway... keep praying that our little sweet pea keeps growing big and strong! He/she is the size of a RASBERRY!

Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is hitting me full force! Which, don't get me wrong, is still a blessing. I cannot complain, since it means that everything is on the right track. But it really feels like I have had the flu for the past week. But I love knowing that its all because of this little sweet pea growing inside me. Its all still so amazing, that there is a little life in there, with blood, and a heartbeat! What a awesome blessing from God!
